The Global Steel Wire Group is the European leader in high value-added wire rod and Europe’s largest integrated group in wire rod products. The Group consists of Global Steel Wire S.A., which includes an electric furnace steel mill and a rolling mill, and the Wire Works Division, which consists of six integrated downstream companies for the processing of wire rod.
The Global Steel Wire Group, located in Spain, has its own port and international warehouses that allow us to supply customers, offering great strategic and competitive advantages in all the technologically demanding sectors in which we operate.
In addition, the Global Steel Wire Group is part of the Celsa, Europe’s leading manufacturer of circular steel with 8 million tonnes of scrap recovered annually and an annual transformation and sale of 7 million tonnes of steel.
At Global Steel Wire Group and the entire Celsa, steel is only made from scrap recycling in electric arc furnaces, the most energy and environmentally efficient steelmaking process, which enables the Celsa to produce steel with low CO2 emissions.
The GSW Group, in its firm commitment to the circular economy, allows waste to be reincorporated back into the economic cycle, recovering 98% of the waste generated in the manufacture of steel. This waste is used as a secondary raw material for processes such as road construction or for reuse in the steel production process itself.

Within its extensive range of products, we specialise in wire rods for cold stamping, tyre reinforcement, suspension springs, easy machining, gauges and case hardening as well as low, medium and high carbon steels.

Today, more than half a million tonnes of Global Steel Wire’s steel per year is destined for the automotive sector, an industry that demands superior quality products.
